OUR STORY

It all started in 1994 in a small workshop in Paleo Faliro by our father Michalis Apostolidis making handmade diaries with love and passion for artistic bookbinding and slowly discovering the aspects of typography.

Since then we have managed to create a complete bookbinding and to this day we continue to publish writing books, always wanting to give a step to personal expression.

We are two beloved sisters, Elsi and Stella, who seek ideas, design, research new materials, new textures, evolve, think ecologically and create. Growing up on paper, we always knew the next year's dates and holidays, counted the time, holidays, days and even full moons. The smell of paper for us was from the beginning something intimate, familiar and beautiful. Gold printing is also something special, at first it seemed mysterious to us and then admirable and artistic. We were nurtured in writing books, we loved the art of bookbinding and we continue to do so.

We have our family with us and a whole group of precious people. People who share the same love as us, the same values, maintain the same admiration for handmade books, are fascinated by writing and paper, express themselves creatively and inspire us to move forward together.

For us, every book we publish is unique, because we know that it is an important means of expression and provides motivation and inspiration.

What write your future means

The phrase write your future for us constitutes our identity and goal and comes from the recognition of the importance of writing for humans. It states the encouragement we seek to give to every person who writes in the books we create.

Write your future means write, record, organize and organize, express myself, communicate and converse with myself and others, improve and develop, find encouragement, use my time, take care of myself. It means I write and dream, I set goals, I learn. It means creating and experimenting, expanding my limits and becoming better, but mostly it means creating a future, my own future, the future I want. Planning my own future means planning my life, writing about my life, writing about me.
All this constitutes, for us, the basic idea of ​​writing and the uniqueness of man, who evolves through his own writing and charts his own future.

Vision

Our vision is that each of our journals, notebooks and notepads through their design and quality provides encouragement towards an improved lifestyle, giving everyday moments a sense of enjoyment, pause, breath and restart, a breath in the routine with the aim of refocusing on the important and essential. Writing books that remind everyone of self-priority and self-care.

We want our books to empower, to help, to propel man to his own purpose, to serve the need for fulfillment, and to compose a safe, personal place shaped by thoughts, ideas, goals, desires, expectations of.

We aim to make each of our releases as sustainable and environmentally friendly as possible. We dream that in the near future we will be able to use even more recycled and ecological materials with the aim of our own contribution to the protection of the environment and we devote ourselves with determination, persistence, research and study to this dream of ours.

Design

Our love for writing, art bookbinding, paper, creativity and art drives our every design. We are driven by our need for inspiration, motivation, positive thinking and of course ecological and sustainable publishing.

In each of our collections, through continuous research and thorough study in the field of writing, product design and graphic arts, we look for new ideas, we experiment, we research new bookbinding materials and new papers, which will inspire us in each of our creations.

We rely on our visual knowledge, bookbinding expertise and experience and design new writing books focusing on both aesthetics and ergonomics. We strive to expand the possibilities of artistic bookbinding and develop new aspects of it. We give each of our books a special character and a distinct identity.

We wish to highlight bookbinding materials and cultivate through our design the admiration for artistic bookbinding, as we believe that every part of it is important and remarkable. We are inspired by the textures of the cardboard, the printing possibilities, the technique of gold printing, the impression of the intaglio and the tactile feeling of the finished book.

Bookbinding

Our publishing process is based on the tradition of artistic and handmade bookbinding. We believe that the imprint of the manual work highlights the history and identity of the book, as it declares elements of its creation. Every element on our books expresses the passion, patience, effort and labor of the people who created it.
The binding techniques we follow for publishing our books are the Bradel binding technique, also known as the "pass-through" technique, the flexible binding technique and the library binding technique.
Our workshop in Paleo Faliro has the appropriate equipment to ensure the excellent completion of the publication of our books.
In the entire process of our publications, we apply controls, with the systematic sample method, with strict quality criteria aiming to ensure the result and the final finish of the books.
